  1. Thanks for posting Ryan. Hope you start doing this regularly. Keep this up and you'll be crazy in no time. I explained this to you in hon already, but just a recap so you remember.

Focal point should never be dead center. The focal point is too washed out. Introduce a primary light source like a sun or moon or random thing just to allow you to put in some core shadows and cast shadows. If that top thing is your main lightsource, just pick a side and stick with it so that the tower in the back begins to turn(by that I mean have some dimension).

Another thing is try not to use white at all especially if your shit is in the background. The closer an object is to the foreground the more darks/lights/color hits it. And the further away, the more atmosphere affects it. Making things less saturated and more midtonish.

Also try to add some more depth in your foreground midground elements. The bushes can be darker, more defined in shape, and have stronger highlights. Also right now, there is no midground element, making it a little confusing how big that tower is compared to the person. Is he right in front of it, or is this thing huge and there's a lot of space in between that and the person.

Anyways, awesome start. Keep em coming. I covered the basics, I'm sure Jeff will have better stuff to say.
